Preserving the beauty and legacy of the land
It should come as no surprise that many people who make wine have great respect for the environment. We certainly do — it's our way of life.

On our magnificent Russian River ranch we are working to preserve and enhance the diverse habitat of the land.

 
 


On the land surrounding the MacMurray Ranch homestead we have:
* Preserved over half of our 1500 acres as habitat for birds and other wildlife.
* Restored the watershed to reintroduce indigenous wildlife.
* Protected acres of old-growth oak and redwood trees.

In the vineyards we:
* Use low-impact farming methods to build healthy soils and vines.
* Limit the use of chemicals in controlling weeds and insects.
* Plant cover crops to maintain the soil and attract beneficial insects.
